JULY 2021 | DIGITAL ‘QUILT’

“Rob Peter to Pay Paul” is one of many traditional quilt patterns used on Fogo Island, often making use of carefully selected recycled, vintage, and new materials. I used a similar technique for this digital iteration, making use of carefully selected photographs I’ve taken on my returns to Fogo, borrowing texture from a square of my own Fogo-made quilt, and incorporating “new” materials for the base/borders.
